PURPOSE

  1. To recognize an individual, other than a music therapist, who has made significant contributions or demonstrated support for the music therapy profession.
  2. To promote public relations for the field of music therapy within the Mid-Atlantic Region

QUALIFICATIONS

An individual may be nominated who meets the following criteria:

  1. Is not a music therapist
  2. Has demonstrated support in a significant way for the music therapy profession; and
  3. Lives in the geographic boundaries of the Mid-Atlantic Region

PROCEDURE

  1. Nominations are to be made by members of the Mid-Atlantic Region
  2. Nominations must be received by January 30, 2010
  3. The MAR Executive Board will review all applications and determine the award recipient based on quality and significance of contribution and support
  4. This award will be presented at the 2010 MAR Regional Conference in Pittsburgh, PA. The award recipient will receive a plaque and be enrolled in the AMTA Friends of Music Therapy Program.
