STUDENT AFFAIRS REPORT

Susan Hadley, PhD, MT-BC

Susan Hadley, PhD, MT-BCDue to the resignation of the president of MARAMTS, there has been a reshuffling of positions.  A special election was held in Scranton in September to fill the vacancy left on the board. I would like to welcome the new executive board! The members of the board are:

President: Michelle Bonaventura, Slippery Rock University
Vice President: Bridget Skipper, Immaculata University
Past President: Sherrye Dobbrins, Montclair State University
Parliamentarian: Leeann Hackett, Elizabethtown College
Secretary: Stephanie Kawzenuk, Nazareth College
Treasurer:  Angela Junker, Slippery Rock University
Government Relations: Elaine Vuong, Nazareth College

The students have been working hard on preparing new student welcome packets as well as service projects, fundraising, and student activities for the 2010 regional conference.

Fundraising

This year, at the regional conference, the students will be selling T-shirts. If they have enough money in their budget, they will also have some very classy silver music note keychains available!  Make sure to bring some extra cash to buy these great items and to support the students in their endeavors!

Passages

Everyone is gearing up for the 6th Annual Passages Conference being held this year at Nazareth College on October 24th from 9:30am to 5:00pm. The program looks really exciting!  I encourage as many of you as possible to attend and see what great work our students and early professionals are doing. We hope to see many of you there. Congratulations to the Passages coordinators for all their dedication and hard work.
