PAST PRESIDENT’S REPORT

Greetings from South Jersey! In this, my final report as Past President, I would like to thank you, the MAR Membership, for the honor and privilege of serving our association as President-Elect, President, and finally Past President. I am grateful for the support I received during my tenure from the members of the Executive Board and the membership. Thank you MAR!
The final responsibility of the Past President is to chair the nominating committee. I would like to thank Mark Ahola, Debbie Benkovitz, Joanne Loewy, and Gary Verhagen for their willingness to serve on this important committee. We will be working to present a full slate of nominees for the elected positions on the MAR Board (2009-2010). Positions that need to be filled include, President-Elect, Vice President for Conference Planning, Vice President-Elect for Conference Planning, Vice President for Membership, Treasurer, Public Relations Chair, Government Relations Chair, and Assembly Delegates and Alternates (38 total). Now is the time to become more involved in your professional association! MAR is a dynamic and progressive organization; you can help to lead us forward as we strive to increase access to quality music therapy services throughout the region!
