Interprets and administers physician's recreation therapy prescription, schedules patient for treatment and integrates Recreation/Creative Arts activities with other treatment in order to achieve the goals established for the patient. Coordinates the overall treatment plan with the treatment team and the patient's family/caregiver to provide a program which focuses on the goals. Develops psycho-social activities for coping with frustration, stress, anger, and hostility; the appropriate use of leisure time and improving social interaction skills. Frequently selects, adapts and/or adjust recreation modalities in accordance with rehabilitation goals. A commercial driver's license (CDL) is required. Perform other directly related duties as assigned.

Qualifications Required: Successful completion of a full 4 year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree that included a major field of study (recreational therapy or in a creative arts therapy field (art therapy, dance therapy, music therapy, or psychodrama); or a major in an appropriate subject-matter field with therapeutic emphasis or concentration) Basic requirement â degree: recreational therapy or in a creative arts therapy field (art therapy, dance therapy, music therapy, or psychodrama); or a major in an appropriate subject-matter field with therapeutic emphasis or concentration OR

Specialized Experience: Experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled.
