Jenny Shinn Memorial Scholarship for Interns and Prospective Interns
The Mid-Atlantic Region is again pleased to give interns and prospective interns the opportunity to apply for one of three scholarships (up to $500). To be eligible, you must be a member of AMTA. If you are starting your internship in 2011 and will continue your internship in 2012, you are eligible to apply. If you will be interning in 2012 but have not yet been accepted to an internship site, you are eligible to apply.
Provide the following link to the three people providing recommendations so that they can submit their recommendation letters directly to the student affairs advisor.

Sophomore Scholarships
MARAMTS awards two sophomore scholarships annually. Recipients receive student membership to AMTA as well as complementary MAR conference registration. To be eligible, you must be a sophomore music therapy student, have attended and participated in club meetings and activities, have shown interest or involvement in regional conferences, and have sought out and been active in self-motivated learning experiences.
Please, submit your application to the Student Affairs Advisor (make sure that you do not have any identifying information such as name, school name in your essay). It is your responsibility to obtain the recommendation letters in a timely fashion and to have them submitted by the deadline. Provide your advisor with the following link so that she/he can submit her/his recommendation letter directly to the student affairs advisor.

Junior Scholarships
MARAMTS awards two junior scholarships annually. Recipients receive student membership to AMTA as well as complementary MAR conference registration. Graduate Scholarship
MARAMTS awards one graduate scholarship annually. Recipients receive student membership to AMTA as well as complementary MAR conference registration. To be eligible, you must be currently enrolled in a graduate music therapy program and have shown interest or involvement in regional/national conferences.

Music Therapy Club Award
To be eligible for this year’s club scholarship ($250), a club must design and implement a music therapy oriented activity in either the college setting or in the community. Activities include, but are not limited to: drum circles, advocacy at local schools, volunteer sessions at nursing homes, etc. This competition is open to any active school within MARAMTS.
